My thought on the best of Marvel series/shows is that you can't grade animation on the same scale as live action. For a mass audience there is a hurdle that some will just not get over when hearing a show is animated. I feel that emotion and engagement when animated is never as poignant as an equally well crafted live action moment. As much as I enjoyed this season of X-Men 97 it just cannot provide the same moments I got in WandaVision, Daredevil, Loki, Jessica Jones or even Ms. Marvel. Seeing live action drama and fighting has a different feel that resonates with an audience more than animation (again when done well, not just in general).That is not to diminish what the team that put together this revival of X-Men achieved, but an acceptance that for a random audience the show will be seen as just for kids.

X-MEN 97 was a great show that ending to me felt rushed on 2nd and 3rd watching the more I understood what was going on visually stunning and glad they returned Rogue to true curvy form haha still need to watch so many shows but made time for this.

The only thing that bothers me is that, in typical Marvel fashion, they are plowing through arcs and story ideas super fast and I’m worried about what we have to look forward to, particularly in live action. I hope they don’t keep bringing the same villains and situations back over and over again.

I'm going to go see it. This is a cinema movie. It loses on tv. I remember Fury Road. When I saw it on tv it was kinda dumb really. And I saw the trailer for this in the cinema, in front of Apes, and yeah! it reminded me of the Fury Road experience instantly. So, yes, I'm going to see it in the cinema.

X-men 97 doesn’t touch any season of Daredevil imo.

X-Men ‘97 is up there with Daredevil, Loki, and Legion for me, but it’s too soon to say how far up that list it goes. All of those shows had more than one season and a great finale while X-Men is just restarting it’s momentum. Time will tell but I can’t wait for more.

The gorilla Ghost Busters cartoon was based on a short lived live action series from the 60s or 70s. The producers of the Reitman film had to pay off the owners of the original IP to use the name for their film. When the movie was a hit and they wanted to make a cartoon, the owners of the original show's copyright pitched to do the animation because they mainly produced cartoons. When their pitch was rejected, they held back the TV rights to the name Ghostbusters and produced their own series based on their old show to compete with them. The Reitman movie's cartoon was then called the "The REAL Ghost Busters" as a way of getting around the name rights. I watched the gorilla one a lot but I hated it lol...I only watched it when the real one wasn't on because at least it was called ghost busters.

I might be alone in this, but "Young Avengers" as a title doesn't work for me. I do appreciate the name recognition and power behind the "Avengers" branding, but think that should translate into naming the project *"The Champions: Young Avengers"* so that follow up Champions projects are cementing themselves as a Champions franchise, much like Defenders could be considered one on the combination of the Netflix shows with Daredevil. They need to think like kingmakers, not hangers on. Also, I think people overestimate the ability of a show to launch into a movie. Instead, I think you help a show be something by associating it with the strengths on the theatrical movie that fed into it. To that point, let the Champions form in the background of a bigger property (e.g., Avengers: Secret Wars or its preceding Avengers 5) then let that drive part of the show and split up the players. Because of who those actresses are Kate Bishop and Kamala Kahn could drive continued theatrical appearances of a combination of comics YA and Champ members, and others could drive another group as a Disney+ show (and if it needs to, use the Young Avengers name there or A-Next or whatever).

Good for Jason Sands. He did what he felt he had to do. So he didn't follow the status quo protocol, big deal, get over yourselves. Who makes anyone the "Truth Police," that gives "Validity? " It's out there let people judge for themselves. Enough of the jumping through fiery hoops to get the truth out.

100% with Coy - not to typecast Norman Reedus - but I'd rather him or someone of that presence be Johnny Blaze, not Goslin. I could see Goslin as a charasmatic older Gambit who isn't meant to be the core First Class because I see a big opportunity to tell stories of them as early and mid-20s characters, trapped since the '80s rescued by the Storm/Wolverine Second Genesis team and going from there. That unfortunately keeps him out of the running for Cyclops, but there are a lot of other characters that may pop up he'd be better suited for.

In terms of pure Marvel Studios projects and *season* quality, I rate WandaVision over X-Men '97 then Loki season 2; in terms of *endings* I think XM97 then Loki then WandaVision. In terms of show trajectory, I say XM97 ramped up to a satisfying ending (cliffhanger while still ending the season's A plot), Loki had a satisfying ending for the protagonists but not necessarily as good an end episode, and WV's crescendo was before the end, but the end episode was good enough. Each had their unique flaws, but were ultimately great as a season, but when looking at Marvel projects overall, the gold standard is still, to me, Daredevil S2, so I hope DD Born Again brings that energy.
